The week of September 27th-October 1st

Hello Everyone!

It is through my Blog that I hope to communicate our curricular activities for 7C and 7D. 7F you will need only to pay attention to Science! You will find our schedule for the week below:

Math: We will be reviewing for our first Unit exam Wednesday, September 29th. The Unit we have been focusing on is "Coordinates and Design". We will review in class Monday and Tuesday, however, review questions can also be accessed from home. See the Mathlinks7 post. Students will be asked for their school username: 16......... and password: ???????? in order to access through Moodle. Students should choose the Review in chapter one.

Science: we will be continuing our unit on Ecosystems and Interactions. Students will be discussing relationships in an ecosystem including; Producers, Consumers, and Decomposers, carnivore/herbivore/omnivore, and the flow of energy in an ecosystem (Carbon cycle and Photosynthesis).

Language Arts: we are continuing our grammar unit with Subject-Verb agreement. With Friday being the last day in this unit, it will be wrapped up with a quiz on rules 3-6 on the 30th of September.

Social Studies: We have started chapter 2 in Social, the French in North America. It will help the students build a background understanding of why France wanted to build an empire in what is now present day Canada.

On another note, agendas were not purchased for grade 7 and 8 students this year. I can imagine that many students are struggling to keep track of a busy academic schedule. Should you feel the same, please send agenda with your son/daughter and I will do my best to ensure that we keep assignments and activities straight! :)
