Hello 7C, 7D and 7F (Science)!
I spent most of the weekend split between coaching 7/8 Boys Club Volleyball (at a tournament in Coaldale) and my son Braigh at Junior Hurricanes hockey tryouts. Needless to say it was a busy weekend. I am very proud of the effort and commitment shown by the boys and girls Club Volleyball players. They each improved with every game they played. Good for you all!
This week promises to continue to be busy as we approach the long weekend...
Math: Students in 7C and 7D will have their Unit #1 "Coordinates and Design" exams returned to them Monday. Results varied between students, some will be pleased and some disappointed. Students who felt they did not do as well as they are capable will have the opportunity to show what they know again Wednesday during the first nutrition break. I will be reviewing some of the major concepts in class Monday and possibly Tuesday. If students require additional help they are encouraged to make an appointment with Mr. L. Tuesday or Wednesday we will begin our next unit: "Operations on Decimal Numbers".
Science: Students will continue to explore concepts related to Ecosystems and Interactions this week. Time will also be devoted to working on "Animal" projects which are due October 26th. Students will have a goal of completing their research and putting information into their own words by the middle of next week. See link for the assignment Animal Project
Have a great week!
David
