November 8th-10th

Hello Everyone!

Sorry this didn't come out sooner, I posted it to the wrong Blog!

I was able to get away with my family for some much needed down time this weekend. It was wonderful to spend some time just the four of us after a busy week! The weather wasn't perfect in Kimberley, but the company was fantastic:)

We have a short week ahead of us as we begin Term #2. We will enjoy an extended weekend as we pause to remember the men and women who have fought for our country this Thursday. It is a nice opportunity for us to remember what is truly important in our lives.

Math: I will be sitting down shortly to mark the Math tests students wrote last Friday. Many students continued to show some difficulty with the concepts of Multiplication and Division of decimals. I am available should anyone want to come in for some extra support. Our focus this week will be to wrap up our research on the "Travel Agent" projects and prepare for presentations early next week. Travel Agent Assignment can be found right here. Students need to have Option 1 and 2 completed for Monday.

Science:  I had hoped that we would be able to close out our unit on Interactions and Ecosystems this week, however, our Animal project presentations have taken longer than expected. As a result, there will be no Unit Test this week. We will close out our presentations tomorrow and discuss section 3 and parts of section four. Notes from the textbook can be found at edquest.ca

Have a great week!

David
